Penfield Colwood Quilted Jacket

A quilted jacket is a classic piece of outerwear any guy could own.  There’s nothing really groundbreaking about that statement.  Anyone who has paid attention to menswear lately has seen that the Barbour Liddesdale has pretty much become the standard for quilted jackets.  And why not?  It looks great, it’s lightweight, and it’s keep ya warm.  But it’s also good to know of an alternative.  The Colwood Quilted Jacket by Penfield is such an option.  Although cut a bit shorter than the Liddesdale, the Penfield version offers the lightweight warmth one looks for in a quilted jacket.  Coming in at $155, it’s not too tough on the bank account either.  Give it a thought if you’re looking for a new quilted jacket this fall…

Seems like a perfect option for a quilted jacket…

  1. Ooh, looking back on this today I didn’t know that Penfield was a MA company too. More checkmarks for this coat, and I get to support my home state.

If only the “olive” wasn’t so… khaki. haha

  2. Thanks for this this post! Couldn’t have come at a better time. I just got a Barbour Liddesdale through the mail and don’t like the fit of it very much at all. For the same price, this seems like a nice alternative as you said. Cheers!
