What a good tailor did for me… and can also do for you.

I see a lot of folks on Twitter and Tumblr always asking where they can find the perfect pair of slim chinos; and let’s be honest, it’s damn near impossible unless some serious cash is dropped.  Also, everyone is shaped differently… so while a company like Unis makes awesome fitting chinos, they may still not be “the perfect pair.”  The answer is easy: go see your tailor.  I recently grabbed a pair of Classic Fit chinos from J. Crew on sale for $13.  While the Classic Fit is a nice fit, I’d like my pants just slightly slimmer.  So I went to get them altered… $12 later, I have some great fitting pants.

I invested a whopping $25 into these chinos… that’s it.  So if you’re having trouble finding that “perfect fit,” just pick something close and fix ’em.  Then they’ll be perfect.
